Police arrest 21-year-old over alleged violent robbery in Alicante

The elderly man told police that he was hit on the back of his head while walking in Alicante. The blow left him dazed, allowing the attacker to take his bag. He suffered a five-centimetre wound and later received treatment at Alicante General Hospital.

National Police investigators from the city’s Northern District station carried out enquiries after the complaint was made. Their checks led them to identify a 21-year-old man, who was then located and arrested.

The suspect is being investigated for alleged violent robbery and causing injury. After the police procedures were completed, he was brought before Alicante’s duty investigating court.
