The annual police balance covers around 5,000 articles and 35 seizure records. This week, 1,550 kilos were destroyed after being collected in about 120 packages; the material was taken from police headquarters to a waste-treatment plant in Dolores and disposed of under current regulations.
Officers carried out 12 special surveillance operations between June and September, including joint deployments with the Guardia Civil. Checks focused on the Juan Aparicio seafront, Playa del Cura, Avenida de los Marineros and La Mata, as well as the town’s northern and southern access roads. The town hall says it will continue targeting unauthorised street sales and suspected counterfeit goods.
