Around 50 Guardia Civil officers donate blood in Murcia campaign

The voluntary drive was organised with the Murcia Health Service Blood Donation Centre. A temporary facility was set up at the Guardia Civil’s 5th Regional Headquarters in Murcia city, while personnel elsewhere in the region were directed to hospitals and health centres taking part.

The latest response adds to a total of more than 1,500 donations collected at the regional headquarters since the initiative began. The campaign forms part of the Guardia Civil’s wider social-responsibility work and highlights the importance of maintaining blood supplies for patients who need transfusions.
