The Community League match began with a tight midfield contest, and the first effort on target did not arrive until the 21st minute. Novelda struck first from the penalty spot after Sergio was brought down, but Thader levelled six minutes later when a corner eventually reached David and ended up in the net.
Novelda were reduced to ten men in the 51st minute after Iguel received a second yellow card. Thader created repeated opportunities against the packed defence, although many attempts were off target. Goalkeeper Kamal also made a late save to prevent Novelda from stealing the win in stoppage time. Thader’s next fixture is away to Olimpic Xativa on 8 November, with the kick-off time still to be confirmed. Supporters can travel on the team coach if they book in advance.
