The fair, dedicated to popular festivals and traditions, runs from 6 to 8 November. Torrevieja City Council’s Tourism Department will use the event to showcase the municipality’s celebrations and explain their importance within the local cultural and tourism offer.
A group representing the carnival comparsas will attend IFA on 7 November to bring the character of Torrevieja’s carnival closer to visitors. Their participation highlights the work of local groups, their costumes and the community involvement that keeps the celebration active each year.
The council has arranged a bus with capacity for 55 people. It will leave Torrevieja at 15:00 on Saturday 7 November and return from the Alicante exhibition centre at 22:00. EXPOFIESTA will also provide a wider setting to promote other local festivals.
