The event, organised by the Public Health Department, brings together speakers from several professional backgrounds. Its programme covers the experience of loss in medical settings, palliative care, support for families and ways of accompanying people through bereavement. Talks, workshops and personal accounts are being held across the two-day programme.
The public can visit the Grief Caravan at the centre entrance for a free consultation, as well as exhibitions that explore grief through art and photography. The closing activity on Friday is a public gong bath, “The Whisper of Silence”, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Information is available from jornadasduelo_torrevieja@gva.es.
