The Jornada sobre Desalación, Energía y Agricultura will bring together researchers, water professionals, agricultural specialists and institutional representatives at the university’s Torrevieja campus in Calle Concepción, on the second floor. The programme will consider the energy challenge behind desalination and the role of treated seawater in sustainable farming.
The event opens at 09:30, followed by a session on the energy challenge at 10:00 and a discussion focused on agriculture at 11:30. Research presentations are scheduled from 12:30, with the day due to close at 13:15. Topics include minerals in seawater, boron in desalinated water and new energy approaches for water-user communities.
