Residents affected by demolition orders reported the messages and called for unity, rejecting intimidation and violence. The Babilonia Neighbourhood Association says restoring a broad, accessible beach does not have to conflict with defending the homes. The group argues that people seeking the recovery of the beach should not be treated as opponents and has urged people not to let the messages divide them.

The Partido Popular’s local spokesperson, Marisol Gallud, also condemned the graffiti and said disagreements cannot justify vandalism or threats. The dispute concerns around sixty homes built on the beach during the first decades of the last century. State concessions ended in 2018, and court decisions support their expiry and eventual demolition. The process remains pending and, according to the report, cannot take place before February.
